Potential army for a tournament using modified BAO missions ie competitive maelstrom as secondary with EW as primary.

3x Flyrant, tl devs, electro shock

2x malanthrope

3x rippers, deep strike
23 gants

2x hive crone

Mawloc
2 biovores

Not sure if there are too many FMCs which will reduce options for securing maelstrom points.

Styles vary, but I'd want more Troops, so I would want to trim something...do you need two Malanthropes? If not that might free up enough to get more Rippers...? I'm guessing that you could split up the Gaunts as well...?

Thanks pinecone, do you think you need more than 4 troop units at 1650? Everything else scores, although isn't obsec admittedly.

I don't really want to split the gants as they are there for tying big things up for a turn or two e.g. Knights.

It's likely enough , but I like to have 5 or 6. Now that Maelstrom is a "thing" I would expect Troop Hunting to become a "thing" as well. So looking ahead, I want to be prepared. If I were to depend on Deepstriking Rippers, I'd be happier with 4 of them, that way I can lose one or two to Blasts/Template or mishaps and still be able to "do stuff"

Having a handy "tarpit" unit is a good idea.
