I have an infantry unit embarked on a transport, and it makes its 12" scout move.

Does that mean that I can still move 6" in my Movement Phase and Shoot at my full ballistic skill in the subsequent Shooting Phase?

The Scout 'move' is not normal movement, it is a redeployment. It has no effect on movement or shooting in the first turn.

This. Many times people get hung up on the word "Move" and immediately declare that it is Movement per the rules. Scout Move is just that, a Scout Move, per its own definition in the rules and not some mix of movement per a dictionary definition to then classify it as Movement per the BRB.

Scout "Move" is a player name, not some BRB defined term.

It's been a redeployment for 6th and 7th.
