I was just wondering when I fire my 'Heavy 1, Blast' weapon at a vehicle, which armour is used to determine a penetrating hit, glancing hit or a miss?
I am new to 40K and any help would be greatly appreciated!
Many Thanks!

These sort of questions should go in YMDC, as per th sticky

For normal blasts it's where the firing model is.

Its for YMDC

But,
If say my Tank is sitting in front of your tank and fires then it hits the front armor. Same with side and rear, the firing tank has to be in relation to the target.

Indeed, draw a straight line from the firing Model to the closest point on the Vehicle and that is the facing which is hit.

Not sure that's how that Works Clively.

You only measure range etc. from the Weapons on Vehicles.

On Non-Vehicle models you measure from the base. Closest point of the base to the closest visible point of the Tank.

Otherwise, I'm going to rotate my multimelta armed Marine slightly to the left and potentially hit a different Facing.

Is it closest visible part of the Tank though?
Blast Markers have permission to allocate Hit's to a Vehicle Model even if it is completely Out of Sight, against a Vehicle there is a chance it gets around the broken 'Empty the Wound pool' requirement. While Line of Sight is important in many Rules, it is not a factor that needs to always be considered in an equations. In this situation we are simply told to resolve it on the facing that the shot comes from with further instructions to Resolve against the Armour Value facing the firer. As there are no instructions telling us that this is subject to Line of Sight Restrictions, there is nothing preventing us from using the default method of measuring to determine which Facing is closest to the firing Model.

So if we are in a situation where a Tank is completely Out-of-Sight but the Blast Marker scatters over top of it, which Facing would you be utilizing to Resolve the shot if the above is not true?

No, it is not closest visible part of the vehicle. You measure to the closest facing of the vehicle. If that facing is blocked from LOS, then the target gets a bonus to its cover save.
