Looking in the rulebook, I can't find where it says when night fighting goes away. Last edition if it started in play it left towards the end, did they change that?

For the guy who leaves it all on the field (because he doesn't pick up after the game).

Did you look in the Night Fighting rule itself? It tells you how long (ie for which one and only turn) it is in effect for (subject to Necrons special rules or similar items).

The last sentence in the very first paragraph under the heading 'Night Fighting' gives you the duration.

defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'

So only for the first turn? Wow that's short

For the guy who leaves it all on the field (because he doesn't pick up after the game).

Are we sure about this guys? Does anyone else have a different way they play it? (One turn seems so short...)

Yes.

It was one turn in 6th as well, on turn 1. Only if it wasnt turn 1 did it possibly cme in towards the end of the game. THey simply got rid of the end of game scenario.

Honestly, did anyone really remember it anyway?

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

Yes, night fighting was crucial. We always rolled for it an it had a pretty big impact in a lot of games. Its especially useful for Dark Eldar.

If it was first turn, always, but we always forgot to roll in turn 5+ though otherwise.

Oh yes, I meant 5th turn onward.
1st is always easy to remember.
