In a challenge, Lucious Dualling Pride gives his attack stat = to his opponents WS, if he is the model that charges, does he still get bonuses for charging on top of the attacks equal to opponents WS?

For example, Lucious charges Kharn and issues a challenge his attack stat increases to 7, but does he get 9 for charging?

Just need some clearing up, i havent really played much since 5th.

If he charged and then challenged, he would have his opponents WS + charge bonus that first round.

he would yes, but unless both players are whiffing horribly, there should never be more than 1 assault phase with lucious and any other IC in a challenge.

Would Lucius not just have his opponents WS as his attacks due to multiple modifiers telling us a set characteristic is applied after everything else?

No, it says that Lucius's attack characteristic is set to the opponent's WS value, not that Lucius has a number of attacks equal to his opponent's WS. By changing the attack characteristic on his profile he would still benefit from the bonus attack by charging, having two CCWs, or anything else that would modify the number of attacks he's entitled to.

Ond Angel was asking if the wording of Lucius's rule made it a set modifer, which are always applied last. Snap Shot reducing your BS to 1 being the best example. If the rule was a set modifier, that would mean that Lucius would always have the opponent's WS number of attacks in a challenge and no other modifier could effect this. I clarified, indicating that the wording, as I understood it, made it so that Lucius's attack characteristic on his profile was changed to equal the opponent's WS, rather than stating "Lucius has x attacks where x is equal to the opponent's WS" It's a fine distinction, but it's important to answer the question you posed in the OP.
