Definitely the first list. It packs a solid one two punch and has the ability to handle a wider array of threats. CenturionStar starts doing work Turn 1 then you've got Legionp of the Damned and your Airforce hitting the table starting Turn 2.

I feel most opponents will just kill the Dreadknight before he can make an impact, they always were better being run in 2s and 3s.

Man, I'm not looking forward to running into any CentStars....

Yah I completely agree with the DK. My only problem not taking it is I have 0 close combat threat in the first list. But I also agree with you that list 1 is more flexible so probably better. Hmmm thanks Zag and yah I definately look forward to meeting you and others.

Hey, I've got zero close combat threats in my army and that hasn't seemed to be an issue yet! I'll be running the White Farsight Enclaves at the Open.

The Dreadknight is just an expensive and relatively soft target. Plus, Cent Star is weak against Flyers and FMCs and having that Stormtalon really shores up that weakness. Necrons and their Scythes are still running around and that is kind of a nightmare for a CentStar to deal with.

In your case you've only got the CentStar to worry about, and most of the time it will have Gate, so its not like you risk your deathstar being locked in combat all game. And its not like you are getting locked in Combat Turn 1, and if you do Turn 2 its your mistake. By Turn 3 you should have already dealt the death blow to most opposing armies.

Sure, you run into a Daemon Rush list and don't have gate, you are dead in the water, and you would have been anyway even with the DK.

My 2 cents.
