Just wondering if there where many psykers in pre-heresy/HH Death Guard? I know Mortarion hated them but at the same time Typhon was a psyker (however I believed he tried to hide this?) and Crysos Morturg was listed as being a Librarian in the DG during the HH.

Mortarion was very against Psykers. He spoke against them at the council of Nikea, I'm guessing that's why Typhon hid his powers from Mortarion. I don't know how many there were but I'm guessing not many. And the fact he was a psyker was probably part of the reason Morturg was sent down to Istvaan III

They had librarians, as shown by Morturg. And yes, they hated those Librarians.
Typhus did indeed hide his powers. IIRC from the Typhus munitorium book, one of the reasons (but FAR from the only one) he turned to Chaos was because Chaos would let him use his gift, unlike that close-minded jerk Mortarion.

Mortarion disbanded the legion's library at some point, which is how Crysos Morturg ended up back as a 'normal' legionnaire in the destroyer corps. Not sure if we have a date on when it happened though.

Morty's dad was a psyker, so he had a dislike of them from a young age. Typhus hid his powers from Morty, and if you play a death guard army, he can't use them with morty on the table.
