Now I realise it is probably a day long update, but at the same time the top thread for the discussions forum on the forums homepage keeps changing so other people must be able to get on it to update those threads, thus bringing them to the top.
Is it just me then, or are there others who haven't been able to get on the discussions forum in the last 12hours? If so, why can't we but others can access it? If not, what's wrong with my account, since all other forums are accessible?

No problems on my side. Did you try logging out and in again?

Cheers for the reply. Yeh I did - funnily enough I can't even get into it without being logged in either. So I know its not my profile at least. Its the only sub-forum I can't access.

You probably just have the 'dakka is down' page cached on your local system as the site has been running normally for quite some time now. Try clearing your cache, or doing a CTRL-refresh to update that one page. If only one (or a few) pages seem down instead of the whole site, it is almost always your local browser cache.
