At my local store there is a special battle planed. Essentially an "Air battle" with nothing but aircraft (thunderbolts, Dakka Jets, etc). Upon request from the guy organizing the battle. I gotta make rules for this massive War Zeppelin that I constructed (still WIP, needs a few more things first, like paint of course!). At some point I want to see it in an Apoc Match, (hence the bombs.) It was modeled after the Kirov, and the markings on it are for future painting effort.

Super Heavy Flyer, Transport.

Armor 14//14/13
HP 24

Armament. (Projectile)
Nose: Quake cannon*
Gondala: TL Battle Cannon Turret x 2
Rear: Quake cannon*

(Anti Aircraft)
Top front: TL quad lascannon. (2 TL LC, Skyfire)
Dorsal: Quad LC array (2 TL LC Skyfire)

Manticore AA Missile Launcher**

Rear top: 2 TL LC Skyfire
Tail: Hydra ACs (4 TL AC Skyfire)

Bombs, Primary Weapons.
Heavy Bombs***
Colossus Bomb (ST D Ap2, 12 inch blast)****
Hellstorm Bombs*****

* Quake Cannons have range reduced to 72 inchs due to the downward facing of their mounting. They also have a reduced firing arc of 180 in the direction of their facing. (forwards and backwards)
** Has no ammo limit due to onboard reloading systems. But can still only fire 1 at a time.
*** There is no limit to the number of Bombs carried, the immense amount of bombs carried can last multiple wars.
****Limit 10. can only drop 1 at a time.
***** Instead of using the super flamer template. use a 7inch blast. The Zeppelin moves to slowly for the flames to blast forwards like if dropped by the faster Marauder bomber. Can only drop a max of 4 at a time, but otherwise have no ammo limit.

Can transport 3 Lightning's or 2 Thunderbolt flyers.

Rules:

AA fire (like the FW Manta rule): The Zeppelin is so large that units can use their normal BS to fire upon it, its still a flyer so no blast templates!

Self Sealing: Can regenerate HP. on a roll of 4+, roll 2 D3 for number of HP regained.

Lumbering Aircraft: Cannot move like a normal aircraft. Normal move up to 12 inchs . Can attempt to go up to 24. Roll D6, on 1 take D3 hull points from stress on the hull and cannot fire its guns, can still drop bombs.

Unending Bombs: The Rage of the Heavens carries an incredible number of bombs on board, of which its Bombardier-Captain dispenses liberally. Roll D6+6 for number of bombs you can drop (you can only drop 1 Colossus bomb regardless, or a maximum of 4 Hellstorm), if you roll 12, roll another D6 for additional bombs.

Regiment: 91st Schrott Experimental Regiment
Regiment Planet: Schrott
Specialization: Salvaged, Heavily Modified, and/or Experimental Mechanized Units.

You could just give it IWND.

I love the little obsession with bombs this thing has and it is also fluffy, what with being a zeplin. But I feel like a cap on the number of bombs will be necessary when you take it to an apoc match.

I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature.

I forgot about IWND, ill go grab my book and compare it.

The wording for "Unending Bombs" has the Cap limit for bombs at a maximum of 18 bombs total. D6+6 initially, if you get a 6 in that roll, you can roll again for D6 more bombs but that's the limit. In those 18 bombs you can have 1 Colossus Bomb and 4 Hellstorm (using separate template impacts), the rest are the Heavy Bombs.

Don't let it shoot and use self sealing in the same turn.

I think that many bombs would be too OP.

If you had an 'active storage', which can have bombs loaded into it instead of dropping them, and you can only drop bombs that are in active storage?
