Well the title says it all. I recently found out about the ability to use a kustom stompa in normal games as it can be much cheaper than the base stompa in the normal orks codex Just wanna clear up a couple things:

1) Where do you get the book/article/datasheet to make a kustom stompa?

2) What does 'I8A' mean?

3) (Optional) Are there any good builds that people have come up with?

If anyone could clear that up it would be much appreciated

Um I know that I'll regret asking this but what does 'A8A' mean? Can't wait to find out how dumb I will look when I find out how simple it is.

It's a typo.

He meant IA8, meaning Imperial Armour 8: Raid on Kastorel-Novem which is sold by forgeworld. It's the book containing rules for all the ork units sold by them, plus a nice campaign, great art and nice fluff.

However, that book is out of date (written for the old codex and 5th), so I wouldn't recommend buying it at this date. Maybe after they have updated it, if they ever do.

Parts of that book can be gotten free here: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Downloads/Product/PDF/d/Dred_Mob.pdf

In general, the Kustom Stompa has many out of date rules, you'd be better off using the stompa from the codex or the bigmek stompa from the most recent Apocalypse book.

Some people use the kustom stompa to get the codex stompa for less points while using the improved weapon profiles from the codex. IMO this is bad sportsmanship in the very least, if not cheating.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.
