Hard to believe how the saints games have evolved/devolved/went off their meds. Looks fun though. The only thing I need to know is if they will let use use our own boss. Because if they make us use that default, I will not save them.

I have played the last one, the one in space, during the free week-end in Steam. It was… strange. The part that were reference to the beginning of the series were completely out of tone with the rest, and there was tons of emotional baggage between the characters that I had no idea what it was about. But fun.
I guess playing it from the start must be an interesting experience.

Never played the first two games (I don't think the first is even available for PC), but I had a total blast playing 3 and 4. Definitely looking forward to this.
I didn't feel like I missed out on much in the way of continuity by not having played the first two games. I can definitely see how it would be hard to get a handle on 4 without having played 3, though.

As long as they have good customization and voice options, I don't mind.
I loved both the hispanic and french voices in 3 an 4.

Is not Gat the main character that you can customize as much as you want? When I played, I made her look like some troll for Warcraft .

Oh. Strange. Can you carry you boss customization through games?

It's an expandalone, so I assume you use whatever you build from the game it expands from, probably SR4.

Is Gat the guy that we meet back in 4 for a mission
Spoiler:
in that violent funhouse where we talk about the past and crack jokes while killing people in stupid costumes?

Oh. That was fun, but missing the context on who he is “in normal life” made it slightly less fun than it could have been, I guess.

That is kind of who he is in normal life. My introduction to him was in Saints row 2 were he was arguing with a judge about the statue(sp) of limitation on murder.

You get to play as the most badass guy from the series? fething awesome!
I do wonder what kind of powerset Kinzie will be bringing along, we know Gat is crazy-fething prepared and will kill anything with anything, but Kinzie? Maybe she'll get the powers she got from that simulation in 4.

Agreed, quite like the boss voiced by Laura Bailey, I'd be pretty miffed if she isn't singing (with Pierce) during the big musical part.
