What I'm looking for to make is some internal bases for my minis. Bases to represent minis in a starship or the Zone Mortalis. How would I go about making some of these? Can I buy some from somewhere too?

Examples and tutorials would be great. Thanks in advance,

I use Back-2-Base-ix and Secret Weapon Minature

but you can make your own using flyscreen, some copper tubing, wires and green-stuff if you are that way skilled (which I'm not)

In the UK, I'd go to the following:

Fenris Games

Ark Range

Sulaco Range

Sulaco Hive Range

Antenociti's Workshop

Various 25mm Bases

I can recommend both of these companies for price/ service and you can see some from both of them in my Judge Dredd stuff in my sig if you want to see them in use.

You mean bases for figures that are going about inside a starship, rather than bases for starship models?

Sounds that way to me...

Lots are available, you can make your own basic ones pretty simply using various textured sheet styrenes and a 1" hole punch (knock out tread plate circles by the dozen in short order).

Champ also does "industrial" bases which work the part:

For the zone mortalis (that is supposed to be urban of some sort right?) they also have these that look like pavement:

I can vouch for the Champ bases. I've got 18 Van Saar on them right now on the paint-bench and they look great.

Being plastic, they're really easy to modify and glue stuff to, so it's not at all limiting that each of the 2 themes only come in 4 different sculpts.

They're also really cheap at $0.30 cents each.

Yep, Champ is Champ.

Also...forgot to plug this guy:

Not specifically bases, but stuff to stick to your bases. Plastic too - so it glues to the base perfectly. Combine those with the Champ bases, and you should have enough variety to keep things from looking too uniform. Throw in some cutoffs from Plastruct, Evergreen, JTS or whoever else you might prefer...

Proxie is awesome too. Also, his bases are a bit thinner than the standard GW and PP size bases, so if you build up a scenic base, it won't be quite so high. A good thing for those dramatic bases that sometimes end up looking like plinths. He's also got some cool terrain items.

If you want to stick with GW style/thickness, EM4's prices are as good as proxies, though shipping is a touch more (not bad really) from the UK.

I've ordered from both these guys repeatedly and with nothing but good experiences.

I'll second (third?) the Champ bases. I have an entire Guard army on them and they are awesome.

I only wish they had other themes and sizes for their plastic bases.

These are fantastic. They are a range of press molds for bases. They aren't exactly cheap, but with a bit of greenstuff, you have as many bases as you want. And you can vary the bases too. Sure, some may end up looking similar, but you won't end up with the same metal grill in exactly the same place on a dozen models.
It does take a while to do a large number of bases though!
