I don't know if this has been asked before, but it was too lazy to search. Anyway, as much as I love the Zone Mortalis, it not exactly what I'm looking for in design (though I could convert it)but is also too costly right now. So in light of those, I'm looking for alternatives. Something to represent the insides of a spaceship preferably, and is interchangeable like the Zone Mortalis.

Anyway, any pointers are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Warmill has a Modular spaceship interior like you describe. It's MDF and acrylic and would take a bit of work to assemble, but it's probably exactly what you're looking for.

Could do printed coardboard terrain like they did for the space crusade/spacehulk boxes. Or foamcore, that stuff is pretty easy to work with.
