Somehow I like to think of some unconventional strategies for
CSM.
Since rushing into assault with
DPs now is a little bit harder due to 1 turn delay, but staying in the air is easier I thought about using
DP a little bit differently.
I wanted to mimic Flyrants style of play.
Daemon Prince
-Burning Brand
-3x Mastery level
-Spell familiar
-Mark of Tzeentch
-Wings
-Power armour
That altogether is 340 points.
No more than 1 should be run so you have more Warp Charges and also because it would be just too expensive.
You get 1 Tzeentch power, either:
a) S8 AP1 beam
b) S(4+) AP2 flamer that glances on 4+
c) some other minor ones
Than depending on situation you can either go all into Telepathy to get Psychic Shriek and possibly some better ones,
or roll once on Pyromancy to get in a worst case scenario a Heavy Flamer, or roll once on Biomancy to get in a worst case scenario 4 S4 AP2 shots.
Than you also get a S4 AP3 torrent flamer in the shooting phase.
He can possibly fill many different roles depending on your opponent/your powers.
There is also a possibilty of running him together with Belakor to get a certain Invisibilty. The only downside is the cost of this combo that is nearly 700 points.
