On FXX...running until Monday night. Good lord.....I forgot how hilarious this show can be! Some real gems in here.
552 episodes.....I honestly thought there would be more considering it's been on for 26 seasons!

As much gak as The Simpsons gets, seasons 3-9 were pure gold. And even after that, there were plenty of hits per season, and it's not surprising to see a dip in quality when you've run for that many episodes.

The problem isn't that there were stinkers. It's that Fox kept it going when it became nothing but stinkers. The horse was worm food many years ago, and acknowledging that doesn't make its beatings any more reasonable. It should have gone out and ended elegantly a long time ago. Like Futurama did. Or like Futurama did again. Or like Futurama did again.

They'd be better off re-doing the animation on the early ropey series than making more at the moment

Every time I turned it on I managed to catch a classic episode, which always made my day. I remembered watching these in my room on Thursday and Sunday night and then laughing about them on in school with my friends.
I stopped caring as much around 1999, the same time Futurama started. I still watched it, but mainly because it was on before or after Futurama. I pretty much gave up on it by the time Futurama ended (the first time).
But I really did enjoy seeing so many old episodes... I had forgotten how much I loved this show.
