First off I'll try to give some insight on my estimated "power level".
I'm mostly playing on a semi-competitive lvl. That means i try to setup my list in the most optimal way but I'll refrain from taking some models because I just dont like em even if it hurts the powerlevel of my list to do so. So to give you some perspective back with the old Greyknight Codex i ran Paladins with Draigo and 3 Psyriflemen Dreads but i never got a Dreadknight and even now after their ascendency to "auto-include" status i wont get one since i hate their overall aesthetic and i guess somewhot their battlefield role/playstile.

So for my Orks my lists most of the time include a BikMek with KFF at least 2x30 Shootaboyz 2x10 Lootas some Koptaz, Bikes and sometimes Mek Gunz, so a rather shooty approach
I own 1 Truk to use for my 3 Meganobz in some games and got 1 battlewagon that i only used once with some burnaz inside but mostly i dont like palying orks with vehicles

So now I`d like to expand my range with some additions from either CSM or maybe Chaosdaemons around 500-750pts

If i go the CSM route I'll most like take some Obliterators to buff my long range shooting but im kinda at a loss what to take as my troops and HQ and maybe additionally Elite/Fast attack, though i dont want to take a Helldrake (havent come up with a good idea for a conversion yet).
With Chaosdaemons i dont have any experience whatsoever so im at a complete loss here ^^

Would be rly cool if someone could help me out here to pick some units to complement my army

hard to go wrong with a lord of khorne on a juggernaught backed up by spawn.

Ok as long as you keep them away from S10 templates. ..
and walker...

Daemons then, a tzeralds and horrors. not many points, try and summon another unit of daemons each turn. Easy backfield. leaving the orks free to rush.

I once played Orks in a team game with Nurgle CSM. So Plague Marines, Typhus and Zombies, and some other nasty stuff.

The two work extremely well together with loads of toughness to beat. We ended up crushing the other side (Grey Knights and Blood Angels).

Having a CSM Lord on a bike with MoN is just brutal and follow that up with an Ork Boss on a bike...you have a lot of T6 on the board just messing things up.

best thing is the green paint is easy to use.

If you take nurgle spawn with a nurgle lord they will all have t6 (immune to s10 insta). They wll have potent CC. Fast too. You can use a chaos sorcerer instead if you want some warp tricks.

What do you want to shoot then?
Vehichles or infantry, light or heavy.

Long range like havocs with autocannon
Or shorter, like forgefiend with ectoplasma cannons for two or three blast markers..

i think i like the idea about some nurgle spawn paired with nurgle oblits
the question is A: how should i equip the lord
and B: what should i chose as my troop selection.
Afaik allied csm cannot take plaguemarines as troops so its either cultists or normal marines. Since i dont rly know what role a normal unit of mariens might fill im leaning more to a barebone cultist squad for some backfield objectives

Give the lord Daemonheart from the Crimson Slaughter supplement for a 2+ and IWND, possibly a sigil of corruption for a 4++, too.
Weapon-wise I would recommend a PF/LC combo, and a blight grenade.

What do you mean as your standard? Your troops?

A sorcerer with psychic shriek (Telepathy) can do quite some damage, especially if you have some other means to lower leadership. If you find this works for you, you can take Ahriman and dish out up to three Psychic Shrieks each turn - this is pretty likely to take down even Tyranid (F)MCs.

Nurgle bikers are fast and ridiculously tough for such a fast choice. Also hammer of wrath is a nice option to get auto hits (vs. invisibility for example).

I agree to the Spawns, just ordered 2 more boxes to include them in my army.

Maulerfiends are fast, sturdy and hit hard. Also comes with a daemon 5++ save and IWND.

In the shooting department you can add 8 S8 shots with a Forgefiend.

The Oblits you mentioned are currently a hard nut to crack for me... they are very good, but I feel you have to either give them the MON to save them from S8 insta death or put them in a bunker (works nice). But all together this makes them a point sink and you usually would want to use them as your swiss army knife that deep strikes where it is needed most and adjusts its weaponry to that situation/role.

The CSM codex has few obvious auto includes, I guess it depends on the roles that work best to support your main detachment.

My armies:
Eldar
Necron
Chaos Space Marines
Grey Knights
Imperial Knights
Death Guard

Ok so right now i think chaos lord with mon on a bike with some crimson slaugtherer goodies to go with the nurgle spawn sounds like a great idea.
So that still leaves me with 2 questions
Troops 10 cultits no upgrades ? (50 pt allie tax)
or should i get sth else
Im still not 100% sure on the oblits but i think they would work great for some long range fire along with my obligatory lootas but with a bit more punch (str/ap) with the option of shocking in some games
