Subject: [STAW] Recommending good reviewers?

I've been listening to Trueflight Silverwing's reviews on STAW on youtube lately and enjoy his reviews, finding the commentary useful.

I'm also aware of, but have yet to listen to 'thatterigirl', who I know has become something of a personality in the gaming circles.

Do any of you watch, listen to or read good sources of STAW information that you'd recommend?

I enjoy Trueflight's stuff. He is very thorough and has some interesting comments.
For thatterigirl, truth be told I think people only follow her because she has the exclusive on things. About 80% of her videos are just her babbling with very little content. It helps her out that wizkids gives her the stuff for free, but without it I don't think she would be followed as much. I am also a little irked over how she handled the Target Prime video when you get free stuff that everyone else has to chase, its not right to hold previews hostage so your subscription numbers can go up.

I always thought that was much ado about very little.
Admittedly, I think she was expecting it to happen a lot more quickly.
So, yeah, a mistake doing it, but not a big deal, to me, anyhow.
I like watching Teri's video because she puts in little hints sometimes about "what does this actually mean" - for example, in the Collective blind booster videos, she puts together a 30 point ship for them.

I found her change from initial video to the very polished and showbiz recent ones interesting. It's all a bit lively for me and I prefer Silver's calm and quiet reviews, but then I'm quite old.
I've just discovered 'State of the Federation' which seems to be a tactics discussion video with a couple of guys talking over skype. I'll be giving it a go.

I too am in the old guy camp, Teri's early videos we nice, but the newer ones seem flashy just for the sake of the camera.
I have tried to watch State of the Federation a few times, but it never lasts long. I don't care too much for the guy that hosts it. If you are not a fan of mixed factions I would give it a skip if I were you. He is a big time supporter of that play style over on BGG.

Can't stand State of the Federation myself, overlong, boring and one I watched was unwatchable due to one of them eating whilst talking.
Trueflight is a bit dull, spends too long showing what movement dials and tokens look like, his voice grates and if I hear him pronounce "Muon" as "Moonion" one more time.........
Teri at least has enthusiasm but I wish she'd do the anti-Borg tactics video she promised she'd put up during July

Yeah, I don't get why Trueflightsilverwing shows the dial, the movement cards would be enough. I guess he just wants to show everything in the pack. He does crack me up when he mispronounces things, I can understand if someone is not a fan of the show, but he claims to be one. Every is in the shows. It doesn't make me upset, it's just funny.
I like Teri's enthusiasm, but I could do without the intro, followed by graphics and theme music. It's a 5 min video not a network TV show.

He always shows the dials because he has a big hate-on for the way WKs put the picture of the ship dead center and then it has a big hole in it. Or it's a shoddy picture.
