A GK terminator has base 2 attacks, and takes a force sword with storm bolter... how many attacks does he get assuming he is not assaulting ,, 2 or 3? I ask because if you take a Halberd it says it is "two handed" which never gives an extra attack, But i thought you don't get one for the stormbolter anyway? and since you cannot take two halberds why is it even listed as two handed???

A storm bolter is not a pistol, so does not count as a second CCW to give a bonus attack. The Hallibut is two-handed because that's what it is in the fluff - GK used to be able to use storm bolters like pistols in close combat, but that's a few editions ago now.

I don't have the current GK 'dex, but assuming no other modifiers the terminator gets two attacks normally and three on the turn he charges.

Yeah the old True Grit rule allowed GK to use their storm bolters like pistols for an extra CC attack.

With the nerf to force weapon AP and the fact that you have to expend warp charges on force now, im kinda surprised they didnt bring it back with this new codex update.

It is two handed because it is a two handed weapon. The fact they couldnt gain an additional attack anyway isnt really important - model first rule

What does True Grit mean?

It was a USR from 4th edition - it meant you got the bonus for 2CCW if one was a storm bolter (representing you holding it in one hand, unlike a normal bolters 2 hands, cos youre hard) and you had a CCW in addition. You didnt then get the bonus for charging.

Actually there were a few versions of 'True Grit'. While it applied to Grey Knights and their Storm Bolters, Space Wolves had a version that applied to Bolters.

2 attacks, only weapon in their dex that gives them an extra attack baseline is if they're using Falchions
