Hey guys!

Looking at something to waltz around the battlefield and be a decent threat to enemy vehicles. And both of these models are beautiful, but I'm really on the fence about what'd be more beneficial. I'd have it dedicated to Nurgle, if that sways the argument in any way.

Opinions and personal preferences on which would likely be more suited to the job?

Love me some Decimator. Never fails, always effective, always pretty. And the gun options on that thing cover everything you could ever want to shoot, while the Siege Claw is hilariously killy in CC.

But I've never fielded a Contemptor.

The Decimator is hilariously resilent, especially with the mark of nurgle. He pays a lot of points for that though, that makes the Contemptor the more efficient gun platform.



Overall I prefer the Decimator, but it works best in an assaulty/mixed position, where the enemy can't ignore it.

I think Contemptor is the better fighter with superior WS, BS and Init. However, Decimator doesn't die. Really, it doesn't. And even if it ultimately dies, it doesn't (because Unholy Vigour).

Hearing a lot of love for the Decimator, that's good. The model is definitely a nicer one IMO. And Nurgle-ifying it would be a fun little project to do. Heard some good stuff about it's legendary resilience ^_^ If one of these two ends up making it into the army list then, that's what it's going to be.

Contemptor is an anti air platform, atleast for loyallists and is currently screwed if it stays still as it defaults to skyfire mode. Meaning BS1 against ground units.

Contemptor, better for shooting and multipurpose roles (especially khorne)
Decimator, better for pure melee role.
