I have now completely run out of scorched brown. I have tried to find a replacement (vallejo, GW rhinox hide and others) but the colours I have tried are too drab. I use SB to mix with Vallejo bone white on the carapace of my nids (see my gallery if you have never seen my stuff). I find that the SB gives the the bone white a warmth which brings the model to life. I cannot find another dark brown which does this. I am now considering using a mid tone brown to do this as there are some which look quite warm from various suppliers. I am having difficulty deciding which brown to try. Can anyone provide guidance?

+1

Also I think army painter has some paints that are supposed to match GW's.

i use P3 Battlefield Brown as my replacement for Scorched Brown...
if you want to warm it up, you cab throw some P3 Bloodstone (one of my favorite colors to use) in it...

good luck...
i hope you find your color...
it's frustrating when colors don't look right:(...
