Hey guys.

So i got the Nagash book/model from the website and couldn't be happier. Now here is the problem another one showed up today from the mail. I called them and said i have two...... they said first was sent regular mail and the second was sent fedex to make sure it was there on time.

I said oh ok how do I send back the second one? They fought me over this for nearly 20 minutes I asked if I could drop it off at the local gamesworkshop they said no. I said can i mail it or fedex it they told me not to. So after a long fight I get ahold of someone who finally said I can send it back to them if I want and said thank you -_- oh it was a brutal fight but at least I won.

?? Were you billed for two?
If no, you did your bit and if you met any resistance: keeping it would look like the best option.

Ya they sent 2 error billed me for 1.

They said it was sent snail mail by mistake so they didn't want me to wait the couple weeks so sent a second one for free.

It is the book and model.

So, GW is nice and gives you a free book (and even the model? ), and you offer to return it, GW refuses, and you do everything to practically force them to take it back? (they probably only said yes to be rid of you )
And then you say you have trouble with GW... You must be mad

Actually, I'm amazed. That's very nice and honest of you.

While you've been a decent chap in offering to send it back, if they're not that fussed (seems that way) then I'd keep it, or sell it on (you'll get almost rrp for it on ebay, I reckon). You've made the offer, it looks like it would be hassle on sides to send it back, so you might as well make the most of it.

Its not mine tho lol. I got what I paid for :p. But It may end up being mine because I have been waiting for them to send me a email with info as to where to send it back and it's been 6 hours or more now lol.

I am not a lawyer, but I believe that in some locales, receiving product when you have not purchased it and it's not promo material (which you have acknowledged) is of a grey legality status. I recall there was a moderately high profile situation where something like that happened with amazon or someone a year or two ago.

For a mail order, I would think that if they indicate that it's not possible to mail it back, then I would think receiving that in writing would be sufficient (if you could talk them into that much at least) and I'd just ebay the thing. Since you resolved the issue, it sounds like it's a moot point though.

From what you've said you have done everything right in trying to get it returned to them and everything.

What you can do if this is bothering you? Find out if there is a local gaming club that does not have the book and donate it to them.

Really... I don't think they want it back.
It is very honest and commendable of you, but GW said you didn't need to send it back.

I had a similar situation myself, back when I placed a final "staff" website order shortly before our old store closed up. As a staffer, we weren't allowed to have any mail orders sent to our home addy - it had to come into the store itself. (basically, a way to ensure & keep an eye on shady gits giving their account info to friends to order stuff at deep discount!)

I'd called into Customer Service to have them manually change the order delivery destination to come to my home addy due to the store's closing, etc...

2 weeks later my box shows up with my very large order - as in $300 worth of stuff at staff discount!

3 days later, I got a call from GW SQ1 that my same $300 order had arrived... I told the SQ1 manager that this was a mistake as I'd already got my order and we realised that due to an error on CS's end, they double shipped my final staff order!
As the SQ1 manager explained, it's simply too much of a hassle both in time & money to get what is essentially just a small package sent back. So I ended up being able to trade in a good portion of the duplicated order for other stuff!

Interesting. It would indicate to me that the actual physical cost of of the model is that expensive and therefore getting it back wouldn't be cost effective. This based on me getting metal Dwarfs for some silly price when I worked for GW. I think they cost about £1.75 each retail but I got them for about 35p each.

I think the guy just agreed and let you send it back so he could get one for free. Do you have to put his name on the label?
