I'm new to chaos and was wondering how well this list might fair:
HQ: Ahriman (230)
Elite: Helbrute - PF MM (100)Troop: 7 n
Troop: 7 CSM, aspiring champion has combi plasma, the squad has 2 PG, and a rhino (208)
Troop: 5 1000 sons (150)
Troop: 5 1000 sons (150)
Fast Attack: 5 Warp talons (160)
Total: 998
I appreciate any thoughts and critiques.

I recommend him for 1500+ because at that point you can really have a solid always-Infiltrating unit, and 2 other backups in case you roll well on Master of Deception
Of course, it all depends on the opponents you face

As above, especially re: giving TSons rhinos.
Also,
7 CSM aren't legally allowed to take 2x Plasma Gun.
