Alright guys, here's my 500 point Grey Knights armylist. C&C appreciated.

HQ: 120p.

1 Librarian
- Combi melta
- Mastery Level 2
- Nemesis warding Staff

Troops: 185p.

5 Grey Knight Terminators
- Nemesis Daemon Hammer on Justicar, rest have swords

Heavy Support: 195p.

1 Nemesis Dreadknight
- Heavy Psycannon
- Heavy Incinerator
- Greatsword

Total: 500 points.

As you can see, I really dont have the points to squeeze in halberds, master-crafted, ML 3, personal teleporter and the likes at this points level

However, NDK + Termies + Libby all teleporting in on a 3+ on turn 1 if I win the roll and decide to go 2nd (if I lose, I'll start the game with the NDK on the board) does make for a vicious alpha strike. Combi melta is needed to light up the odd tank at this points level that the psycannon can't handle; it can also potentially insta-kill any HQ trying to soak up fire by being at the front.

GK Termies have Hammerhand, so I will probably roll for the Libby on the divination chart and at least be able to twin-link all their stormbolters + psycannon.

I'm assuming unbound list? Unless there is an alternate FoC in the GK codex that allows you to take only one troop choice?

I personally would be scared to only take 7 models in a 500 pt list, but depending on the powers you get you could make them pretty deadly. I would just be worried about getting kited since you won't have much of a presence on the field.

page 94 of the GK codex - Nemesis Strike force says only 1 HQ and 1 Troop is enough for a legal army.

Its the upside (along with 4 Elites) to us only being able to field 2 HS and 2 FA

youre right about the 7 model count, but what other option do I have? At this points level I would only be able to take a 8 man strike squad as alternative, and I think a T6 4 wound 2+/5++ model is more resilient than an 8 wound T4 3+/- squad

If you're planning on getting the termies into CC I wouldn't put the Hammer on your Justicar. With Hammerhand he'll have a decent enough str against most opponents in a challenge while still swinging at initiative, and you can safely have him deny a challenge while keeping your hammer in the fight if you're so inclined.

That's my thought, anyways, such as it is.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also, I'd consider dropping the heavy psycannon for a teleporter on your Dreadknight, which will free up five points. Maybe even the greatsword for another 10, then you could drop the combi-melta and make your libby ML 3 which will maximize warp charges and help you to possibly gain a really good buff or psychic attack.
