I'm looking for some feed back on a biker spam list before I starting buying a stack of Biker Kits (15 boxes add up quickly) so i'm either looking for confermation that this is a good list or needs some thinning in places too make it more effective in others.

2,000 pt. - Ork Horde detachment (for 3 HQs)

HQ - Zhadsnark ‘Da Rippa (150 points, makes bikers troops)
HQ - Painboy w/bike (75 pts)
HQ - Painboy w/bike (75 pts)

Troop - 15x Ork Bikers: Nob w/ BP, PK (310 pts)
Troop - 15x Ork Bikers: Nob w/ BP, PK (310 pts)
Troop - 5x Ork Bikers: Nob w/ big choppa (105 pts)
Troop - 5x Ork Bikers: Nob w/ big choppa (105 pts)
Troop - 5x Ork Bikers: Nob w/ big choppa (105 pts)

FA - 30x Storm Boys: Bob w/ BP, PK (310 pts)
FA - 30x Storm Boys: Bob w/ BP, PK (310 pts)
FA - Dakkajet w/ flyboss, extra twin supashootas (145 pts)

48 Biker models in total. A Painboy rides with each of the large biker mobs, Zharsnark leads one of them. The smaller biker mobs run around harasing objective squaters and Nobs should be able to bring down some vehicles on rear armor with the Big Choppas. Storm boys are there to absorb some anti-infantry fire away from the bikes. Charges almost guaranteed anywhere on the board turn 2. Dakkajet is only there to handle enemy fliers if I face them.

Small bike units get shot to pieces and break. I have had it happen to me a lot. 15 fixes the problem, but is hard to manuever unless you like Dangerous Terrain Tests.

Run CAD, Ork Horde only hinders, general consensus.

I have to agree with Sick Bag about the small biker units. I think two units of seven will be more resilient to shooting.

I've played orks a long time (late 90s), so my advice on this may be dated. Seeing two units of 30 storm boyz kills me. They've always been a really cool idea, but on the board they alway ended up a huge, overpriced point sink that you never get points back for. If you absolutely want these guys, I'd go one unit of maybe 20 boyz. Someone else may come on and say theyre the best unit. I have never had any success with them.

What I would do with points gained from dropping a storm boy unit is add deffkoptas and some trakks/buggieswith twin linked rokkits. These cheap units have always been my bread and butter units for tank busting at range (and they fit the theme). Trakks and twin linked rokkits are in every list of mine, and I have played Speed Freaks since the Armageddon source book came out.

You could also charge deffkoptas first too and soak up overwatch when those big units hit too. Then the two big biker units would carry more weight in the assault.

Other then that, the list looks fun to play.

What a rad list, with the new Tac Objective cards, I see this being very hard to beat.

I'd also second Phydox's opinion on decreasing Storm Boyz and adding TL Rokkit Deff Koptas


No psychic powers/defense....will this be a problem? Only playtesting will tell
