Thinking of running this at some FLGS games, think it'd do ok?
Not at all comfy with the load-out on Helfist, please share constructive criticism!
Crimson Slaughter 1850/1850
HQ - Chaos Sorcerer, Balestar, FSword
Troops - 17 Cultists, 16 Autoguns
17 Cultists, 15 Autoguns
17 Cultists
10 Cultists
10 Cultists
10 Cultists
Elite - Chaos Decimator Daemon Engine, Butcher Cannon, Storm Laser
Heavy Support - Defiler
Forgefiend, Hades
Forgefiend, Hades
Formation - Helfist Murderpack
Power Scourge, MM
ML, TL-Las
ML, PCannon
PF, MM
PF, MM
Little bit of horde mode going on, and some AV12 saturation.
Sorc trolls for 4++ divination power while mostly using prescience on Forgefiend for AA or Helfist for dakkasplooge, while hiding in the bigger naked cultist squad.
Cultists do what cultists do.
Everything else tries to shoot the enemy to death while moving up towards CC.
Thoughts?
Thanks for the read!

1. Where's that sorcerer hiding ? I don't see anywhere safe.
2. I see you love cultists, so we put some cultists in your cultists .... do you need that many cultists ?
3. Never heard of a Chaos Decimator ... maybe it's so bad nobody uses it.
4. Ouch. Defiler, and Forgefiend... that's bad.
5. Formation: please melta my face. Yes, with pleasure, I will.
I don't know how competitive you want your list to be, I know I would run straight through you without stopping with a competitive list.
AV12 saturation is not a game.
AV13 works because AV13 x 13 is fethed up and only Necrons can have it.
AV14, well that's 5 LR or so ... tricky but not impossible.
AV12 is just far too weak on its own (without jink or holofields), especially if you're running up the field and can't really count on cover.
If you played against me, your Sorcerer would die to shooting T1, your advancing Helfist Murderpack would die to melta+1WK T1, my 2 other WK would dodge whatever else is in the midfield, leaving me with some cleanup in the midfield and the backfield for T2, probably tabled end of T3.
The thing is, even if you had your way, it still wouldn't be very dramatic, as your backfielders are overcosted, your sorcerer is almost useless, and the only real threat you're presenting is five dreadnougths, which would have been very scary in 850 points, but not that much at 1850.
Overall, even though you're using a non-standard dataslate, your army list is very very weak.

I think you should consider if possible dropping some cultists and finding some where for your Sorcerer to go possibly a bike squad because if he get's shrouding they can form a mini star advancingwith the maulerfiends
Also, go for Telepathy and Invisibility it's awesome on Murder Packs.
I wouldn't mix Lascannons and things like that in the murder pack. Go for a all or nothing with them because they all have to shoot at the same target. Scourges are excellent to take in that unit 1 or 2 w/ Scourges is all you need. Dropping the WS is excellent lets them hit more.
Another thing to consider is taking Autocannons.

The decimater engine is forgeworld and I like the premise but it is way over costed for what it potentially can do. Your biggest issue is your troops are going to probably start off the board because they will disappear quickly. I understand your idea and I think av 12 spam might work but you will be slow and you might struggle against pure mech lists.
The forge fiend is awesome in concept but is so expensive that it is not practicle. With one sorcerer you get one reroll with divinity and will get 4 hits with one and 6 hits with another. 4 hits and 6 hits May glance out two vehicles and your dreads might get another but I would not count on it.
I think you want to go hth and I would take two mauler fiends and drop the defiler for a land raider and stick your sorc in there or better yet drop sorc and defiler and you can almost get belakor that will keep the dreads alive and the mauler fiends can pressure flanks. I would also consider bigger cult squads. If you really want a demon engine like the decimater I say use it but have realistic expectations on it and I think tzeentch might be the best option.

Words of wisdom by Prophet40k
That game put my faith in Khorne to the test. My table-neighbor looked at the match up and said "Here you're going to need these more than I will" and handed me a bag of Jello shots. They must have pleased Khorne because I walked out 11-2.
Now looking at another list with MORE tyrants and MORE mawlocks, I said to myself. "Oh well looks like it's time for another beer. It'll take the sting out of this. LOL" |

I just wouldn't go Divination at all and stick to Telepathy tree. It's more useful with that army with being able to shroud, invisibility stuff.
