My wife and I are playing out our first KT Campaign using the excellent Heralds of Ruin rules.
http://heralds-of-ruin.blogspot.com/p/kill-team-rules.html

Our first mission we rolled for has a swift and elite group of Eldar warriors equipped with plasma bombs moving to covertly destroy fresh Capillary towers that have sprouted in a small city sector. With the bulk of the Eldar forces in a pitched battle,
only a small unit could be spared to stall the spread of the Tyranid invasion.

Taking what gear they had, none of them have special upgrades.

The Hive Mind takes the opposite approach, a small group of heavy weights guard the growing capillary towers. The Warrior Alpha and Warrior both have Adrenal glands and hardened carapaces. The Gargoyles have adrenal glands as well.

The Eldar forces must destroy three towers, and the Tyranids must defend them.

As the Eldar advance, devourer fire from Warrior Alpha downs and incapacitates a Dire Avenger. The plasma bomb carrying Avenger stands next to were his fallen eldar stood.

Seeing weakness, the Tyranids advance.

But the swifter Eldar move to fire, knocking two Gargoyles down. Sniper fire from the ranges rings out, wounding the Warrior Alpha.

On the left flank, the Lictor appears, striking out at the Avengers moving to plant the plasma bomb.

Sprinting, the Avenger plants the S8 AP1 bomb, needing anything but a 1 to destroy the tower. However the fates planned otherwise, and with a the tower stands tall.
The Lictor slices the other Avenger in half. However the eldar do celebrate downing the Warrior Alpha, killing the Tyranid leader.

A lone swooping hawk fires and knocks down a Gargoyle. The brood sweeps back to return fire.

The Lictor advances to cut down a high threat, stunning him.

A brave Dire Avenger steps in between the wounded Wraith, giving him time to shamble towards the still standing capillary tower as sniper fire attempts to down the Tyranid assassin.
Meanwhile the Swooping Hawk falls and dies to the Gargoyle brood.

With time running out, the Warlock urges the plasma bomb carriers to rush forward.

And he succeeds, detonating the tower.

Furious, the brood descends upon the Warlock.

And their adrenal glands allow them to tear him apart.

Too late to save their leader, the Dire Avengers shoot the Gargoyles out of the sky, stunning them.

Under a torrent of fire, the Warrior is stunned as the last plasma bomb is detonated. Only 1 tower remains.

And with that the Tyranids route.

That seems like a neat ruleset... Will download it and maybe try to get my wife on board with a game. Always impressed by your orange Tyranids, too.

Thanks, its fun and quick to get in to. With her in school again and me back on shift work we needed faster games to play.
