So, a while back I used the DV terminators to convert my own little Obliterators. I now regret that decision, as I used all my cool weapon bits in the process. I have no heavy bolters or assault guns now, but I want to convert some ogres into obliterators so that the muscley brutes fit into my world eaters warband. Now, how so I get the green stuff off of my bits? I don't care if it doesn't look pretty. I will likely just green stuff it again.

Or, would it be more worth it to get a weapon sprue from somewhere else?

I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature.

Craft knife. If the green stuff is just stuck under its own adhesion it will break off pretty easily

Simple enough. Thanks!

You can also try soaking the models in Simple Green for a day or two. If its stuff that is GS'd together but not glued then it should separate fairly easily after a good soak.

Frankly, it might be easier to just buy a weapon sprue if you can find one cheap. That's probably what I'd advise.

Freeze the models to make the gs more brittle.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Agree this is what I do.

The wolves go for the throat.
We go for the eyes.
Then the tongue.
Then the hands.
Then the feet
Then we skin the crippled remains.

If you soak the models in 70% rubbing alcohol overnight, the green stuff turns to rubber!. Do NOT do this with resin /finecast models. As it will also turn the models into rubber! Ironically I purchased some Nurgle Terminators that has a similar conversion. I liked the paint job on them, but not all the extra weapons that were spooged on over the Nurgle details. The green stuff peeled right of and left most of the paint intact. The models were finecast, after removing the green stuff I soaked them in water for a day in an open top container. After they dried out they were back to being the nasty resin finecast parts they started as.

I've since used this to my advantage. I had a resin cast Big Mek with Shokk attak gun, that I was able to re pose, by soaking it in 70% rubbing alcohol overnight.

Good luck.
