So I'm looking at Vehicles getting Objective Secured and thinking how stupid it is that Space Marines get access to 35 point models that can just drop in and claim anything. Admittedly, playing Tyranids means I don't have Transports at all, outside the Harridan and Hierophant, but if Mycetic Spores ever came back, then they would have stupidly easy way to claim Objectives.

So I was thinking of changing the rules to this to counter-act this, as well as other armies in general:

Dedicated Transports can not contest Objectives, regardless of which FOC they were purchased for.

This stops Space Marines from claiming anything they want, as well as Necrons parking a AV13 bus on an Objective, Wave Serpents zipping around claiming everything, etc. I think, with the new Codexes coming out, such as Orks, Space Wolves and such that had Transport Vehicles in various FOC slots, if you wanted Transports that claimed objectives, you would have to use FOC for them.

Thoughts?

I was also thinking that Immobilized should not claim objectives instead of Dedicated Transports but I felt Ghost Arks and Wave Serpents would simply be too powerful with that rule and would nerf Space Marines, while leaving Xenos armies more powerful.
