I'm sure this has been covered sometime before, but why not give each faction or race its own part of the forum? As a guard player i'm not a big fan of sifting through a bunch of posts that have no bearing on my playstyle or gaming experience. It'd be nice to just click "astra militarium" and see what other guard players have going on or consult with them.

Hello friend!

In the future, for suggestions like this, you might have better luck posting a thread in the Nuts and Bolts section of the forum:

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/forums/show/55.page

Cheers!

(BTW I've yellow triangled this thread to let the mods know they might what to move it there... so hopefully you won't need to make another thread.)

Not a problem! Took me a bit to figure out where things go when I started on this forum as well. Your suggestion is good though... I've seen similar things done in other forums.

Too many subforums is the death of any forum, it fractures the userbase too much to be useful and clutters the main page.

Dakka is already at a tipping point on subforums, at this point it's probably better to implement tagging or some kind of prefix system, instead of yet more subforums.

You'd just end up fracturing the forum more than it already is. Bolter and Chainsword has this problem, where certain chapter subforums might be dead for days at a time.

Dakka covers so many different games, many with a large amount of different factions that giving each one it's own place would probably end up with about ten bazillion different sub forums.

It would be far too much.

Well, you don't stuff facts into the Right Wing Outrage Machine©. My friend, you load it with derp and sensationalism, and then crank that wheel.
