Hey Everyone,

I apologize for the weird title but I figure I would come here and ask this question.

I am currently in the middle of painting my Imperial Knight and I want the model to look professional and at the same standard as my other vehicles. This model is the first model I've painted "in pieces" and all of the armor plates and the arms have yet to be glued in place.

This weekend I have an APOC game and I want to field my knight. But I don't want to super glue the armor plates on.

Do any of you have a suggestion for how I can assemble the model for a game without 1) Constantly picking up fallen armor plates & 2) having to seriously scrub off the glue I use so I can assemble the model when I'm done with the painting?

Currently I am using some cheap "blue tac" and it's not working. Do any of you have suggestions? Can I use rubber cement? PVA glue? What are your thoughts???

Thank you in advance, if you can answer this question you will be my hero!!!!

If it is just the armor plates and it has all the weapons already attached to the model. Just bring the model and leave the armor plates at home, sure it won't look pretty but if it has the weapons on it and is for the most part what you see is what you get I would find it perfectly fine to leave the armor plates at home.

A very small amount of superglue. Don't put it anywhere too fragile or that will bind too strongly.

With blu-tack, get the proper one, and warm it up (knead and roll until it feels quite warm), that's when it's stickiest.

PVA glue should work fine, so long as you don't try lifting the knight by the PVA-glued bits - a knight is a pretty heavy chunk of plastic

One proviso - PVA glue definitely won't damage plastic (it can't 'melt' it like poly glue) and is easy to remove afterwards, _but_ could damage paint work it contacts.

Yeah, just "tack-weld" it with the tiniest bit of super glue. Large, stable surfaces will make it easier to break the bond without damaging parts.
