Hey Dakka, got a quick 1250 point list for a friendly game against my friend's Eldar (well...we're bringing competitive armies, it's all in good fun though) that goes away from my traditional double Dakkafex units (as I run out of points), thoughts would be appreciated!

Well, my first reaction was "You call this a friendly game? This is competitive as crap for Tyranids", but then I read that your friend has Eldar. This list is okay. Though, to deal with Wave Serpents I would usually bring Hive Guard.

Haha yeah, we're both evolving into the types of players that want to win consistently, a lot of our group are.

I'm not a huge fan of the Hive Guard ever since they went from BS4 to BS3 - I might shift some things around though.

I think he may be running JetSeer but I'm not sure which is why I spammed the Psykers

Yeah, stupid Jetseer.

But Hive Guard have done very well for me in recent games. They're still tough as nails, and have decent range guns, as far as Tyranids go.

Fair shout - did you run them as groups of two or three?
