Hey guys just looking to get some inputs on my 500 list for the upcoming escalation league in my local area. Going with a Night Lords theme in both appearance and function, so attempting to be both fluffy/competitive.

Chaos Lord-
Daemon Heart
Blade of the Relentless
Slaughters Horns
Plasma Pistol
Jump Pack
Sigil of Corruption

Chaos Space Marines x5 (champ included)-

Lightning Claw (on champ)

If I remember correctly this came out to about 500 exactly. Not sure what to change. After a practice game with it the Blade on the Lord didn't seem all that effective. I'm thinking either a power axe or even lightning claws may be better than the blade/plasma combo. Please comment/critique!

I'm not overly familiar with Crimson Slaughter and I just had a quick glance at the codex, but I'd say you have too much equipment on the Lord and too few bodies for this points limit. You also don't have any way of dealing with armour save a lone Plasma Pistol.

Get a Rhino for your troops, because at the moment they're walking across the board and those Lightning Claws won't do a thing. Consider switching a Lightning Claw to the Raptor Champ and maybe take a couple of plasma rifles to give you something against armour.
