Can TWC use transports ie could a unit board a stormwolf? I seem to recall reading that beasts & cavalry couldn't use transports, but can't find it in any rulebook.

If they can how much space do they take up as they don't appear to have any of the bulky rules?

Look at the rules for Transport Vehicles, and what type of Unit is the only type allowed.

Beasts & Cavalry are not Infantry. That might be relevant

Reading the rulebook is not relevant to this discussion. If a model in 15' tall, 1 ton Tactical Dreadnaught Armor can be transported, why cant my 12' tall power armored Space Marine riding a 10' tall giant wolf? It makes no sense!

An answer of 'the Rules literally forbid it' seems quite relevant.

With an abstract rules system it is best to not try to inject modern day real world physics (or logic) into it, it never ends well.

Real World Common Sense/Real World Logic/How it works in the real world has no bearing on the 40k Ruleset.

Remember: The rules were not written to be "Modern day real world" logical.

The rules are an abstract system used to simulate a battle in the year 40,000.

What would happen in the modern day real world has nothing to do with the RAW, or the simulation of a battle fought 38,000 years from now. (and maybe not even on a planet with the same physical makeup as our earth, and probably different physics as well).

As such they need to have some compromises to make the game playable.

Consider where you are posting, a Forum for debating the Written Rules, why would we conclude that your signature somehow makes your answers justified?

Thanks Talos. I knew I'd read it somewhere, but must have skimmed over that bit when I was checking.

Oh, I don't know, because anyone that had ever read the rulebook would know? /shrug

Never a good assumption to make, that anyone who has read this book would know the answer....
This forum wouldn't exist if that assumption was ever justified.

There are many reasons why someone might overlook something in the book, even people who have wasted a good chunk of their lives arguing these Rules on this very forum have overlooked things before. Therefore, even if the answer seems something simple, it is better not to make the assumption that the person asking is not being sincere. It is also advisable not to post 'sarcastic' answers even then, it doesn't translate well into text at the best of time and the chance that someone who doesn't know the answer reading your post and walking away with a misunderstanding of the Rules is considerable.

There are a lot of rules in that rulebook. Quite a lot of the questions in this forum are from people who just overlooked something.

Meanwhile, this has been resolved, so I'm going to lock it down.
