At my desk

I am thinking of converting some inquisitors in terminator armour, does anyone know which of these kits would give me more bits to work with for conversions later and the terminators themselves; 'regular' Space Marine terminators (or close combat), Grey Knights terminators, Death Wing terminators or Wolf Guard terminators?

I'd really appreciate it if someone had some idea of which to get for heavy conversions. Sadly I am constricted by budget to only buy one kit and some advice would be cool.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Almost certainly I'd suggest the Grey Knights - particularly if your Inq are Ordo Malleus or Psykers. Ok, scratch part of that, after checking the 'Dex it seems that only Malleus can take terminator armour anyway...

Lots of Inquisition symbols, and three of the four weapon options for Termi-Inq's (Storm Bolter, Daemon Hammer, Psycannon - missing the combi-weapons though) - I'm not sure how many Hammers you get in the kit though. Disappointing there aren't more melee weapon options...

But yeah, some converting to make them sufficiently different to normal GK termies, but that was going to be the case whichever kit you went with.

For mine, a radical Ordo Malleus Inquisitor, I used the Chaos Terminator Lord kit, as it gives a much more imposing, baroque and powerful vibe than the others.

If you want a Puritan Inquisitor, then go with the DA or GK kit.
