Finally found my spawn point on the world map - The game plopped me down on the coast of Nigeria. That's right. Nigeria.

It could've picked -anywhere- in the world. And it picked Nigeria.

Server still isn't back, It has just passed another schedualed restart without coming back. We will have to wait for Dark to sort it out it seems.

I'm trying to build a dam in creative, nice large version and unfortunately can't seem to get the redstone circuits to activate. I need to be able to raise and lower a number of pistons at a given time, but keep them raised/lowered.

Currently I am using sticky pistons with glass blocks as chuteblocks, but need to work out the circuit anyone able to help.

Raptors, Diddleshot, (and everyone else) when the server is down for more than 15 minutes (the usual maximum length of a hang), you should just PM me.

I think the server is just crashing more often that normal at the moment because more people are connecting than normal due to the interest in 1.8

That's fine. It's unusual for it to be down for this long, from what i've experienced anyway. Allot of factors could contribute to it crashing.

Haha I think it just crashed again Or momentary hang.

I have instaled an underwarter viewing area.

If anyone has any smooth stone spare, can I please have it for the construction of the aircraft carrier.
If I can't source enough materials/help to do the aircraft carrier, then it will be a submarine. I would prefer to have an aircraft carrier though.

I don't have any idea how many resources it will take, only that it will be a lot if I make it full size.

You could try using the minecraft structure planner?

thats dumb, you never scale down your plans, you scale up your resource farming

turn the deck of the carrier into a temporary tree farm and make a cobbler inside or nearby.

I have heared about sturcture planner, I was looking for acctual plans though, I wanted design ideas too.

Any non-boat projects that need doing in New Dakkatown? I'm just hangin around like a bump on a log, need a good project and I don't want to just start building when someone else had plans for that space.

I think i might swell just stop reeding this thread it just makes me sad, nostalgic and eventually i will probably end up trolling about wanting to get back on the server. So this will probably be my last post on this thread.

That Earth map doesn't spawn at a set point unless you're playing the normal Survival map, in which you start out in Los Angeles. When you convert it to a creative map by pasting the regions folder over the one in a creative map game, it randomly picks a new spawn.The missus has the same map on her Laptop and it spawned her somewhere in the far north. There's lots of snow and pine trees. In my case, it picked f***ing Nigeria

And ocean doesn't matter. It always seems to drop you in the ocean when you're in Creative. Luckily, I managed to be just off the coastline.

I am currently constructing a sort of fog horn system for the New Dakka Town Coast.

I've been working on a Dock and trade headquarters, for managing the docks etc. It's the large building on the island, seen to the left of the Main docks.

I found a ravine.
