Using Champions of Fenris supplement, 2000 points. A fun list, but if it looks terrible ( not fun for my opponent ) I won't buy all the models. Just want to get some opinions if this list would win some games, be fun to use, be fun for people to play against. And yes, mention all the bad match ups, but please give me a quick example of how things will unfold. It is really unbalanced, no flyers, no objective secured, besides TWC it's slow.. Would it be worth it to drop a model and cough up some drop pods? Add The space wolf flyer? Or will this theme be enough to hold it's own in general? Let me know!

HQ:
Bjorn

Elite:
Murderfang
Ven. Dread. Great Axe, Blizzard shield
Ven. Dread. Great Axe, Blizzard shield
Ven. Dread. Great Axe, Blizzard shield
Ven. Dread. Great Axe, Blizzard shield
Ven. Dread. Great Axe, Blizzard shield

Fast:
Thunderwolf Cavalry, PF, SS x 6
Thunderwolf Cavalry, PF, SS x 6

List clocks in at 1920 pts.
I can see this list overwhelming some lists, but others overwhelming me ( welcome to paper, rock, scissors ), for example: Imperial Knights list, Monstrous Creature Horde, flyers, etc..

It would definitely be worth getting drop pods.
Your walkers are essentially melee only, so anything you can do to get them into the enemy's face faster is worth its weight in fenrisian wolf pelts.

Frankly, I'd scrub the thunderwolves in favour of pods and another dreadnought if one will fit. The more you can deliver an overwhelming force into one area of the board, the better.

I think you may underestimate your ability against Imperial Knights. Yes, he's faster and shootier, but if you can surround one of them, he'll struggle to get past you (remember his base can't come within 1" of you if he's not charging and if if clips terrain he's no faster than you, and he's on awfully big bases), and with your shields you can tank even destroyer melee attacks a lot of the time. Granted, one "6" on a reaper chainsword or stomp attack and you're dead, but that's why you have a 2:1 numerical advantage....

I'm looking at doing a more-or-less pure helbrute list myself. Welcome to the stompyness.

I will play around with some points. Real quick, I see I can get drop pods for most of my dreads with around 240 points ( the points for 6 completely stock, TWC ). I just picked up another space wolf vendread kit, and I have an old metal Bjorn model. So all together I have on hand:
-Bjorn
-Murderfang
-Ven dread with axe/shield
-unbuilt ven dread ( probably built same as other ven dread but with other helmet )

Now I need to figure if I am going to take the Bjorn Fell-Handed formation, and then run the Champions of Fenris force org. That would mean I would have to bring another HQ, because Bjorn is part of the formation.

For the formation I would probably take:
Bjorn with assault cannon, because of wysiwyg and 2 ven dreads with axe/shield combo.

For the force org I need 1 HQ ( need to decided what that one is going to be and have it fit the theme )
and then at least 2 elites. I try to post a revised list later and check back for suggestions and ideas. Thanks for the feedback, guys!

You could always incorporate a knigt by using its rules and converting something to make the equivalent of a mega dreadnought. I think I may do that myself now that I think about it...
