So this has been talked about before im pretty sure but i figured i should ask for my own gratification. I like most look for cost effective ways to play finding cheap bis, models and deals t get the most out of it. I saw a good deal on eay for dark vengeance marines 30 tactical, 12 ravenwing and aLibrarian. I love the look i just dont like the dark angels codex. I was planning on making my own chapter based off of iron hands tactics. Would this been seen as a problem to field dark angels as codex marines? Thanks for any help and feed back.

You can paint any space marines any way you want. Nobody cares if they have the wrong logo on them. I'm sure somebody somewhere does, but they have no friends and smell really, really bad anyways.

no problem man. Just bought DV myself I really like the poses of the models. I will be painting the DA, but the way it is where I play, as long as theyre painted at all I would never complain.

No way. Throw a new paint job on em, and play em however you like some people like to file down or cover up the logos, but that's just a preference thing. Same thing with terminators, just paint em different and play em how you want

^ This. I was going to say the same thing.
If the emblem suggests 1 codex, and the paint-scheme says another, you're good for both. Look at successor chapters for ideas.
Just make sure your opponent knows what rules you are using. If you pick C:SM, keep a card on the table or something listing the Chapter tactics you're using if people complain.
You can always ally between the codexes, but make vary sure it's easy to tell what is from which codex.

Right on, if i can multi purpose marines that will make my life so much easier lol. I like the look of dark angels from DV just not really a fan of dark angels fluff or codex.

Actually the color scheme im using is grey knights or iron warriors. dark silver metal color as base and still debating on accent colors.
