Subject: 10mm Scenics for Spartan's Planetfall

Space Marine Scout with Sniper Rifle

Hi All
I know that the starter box ( I have pre-ordered it. Damn you Hype train) for Planetfall will come with some basic terrain pieces but I would also like to make more of my board and add some more traditional terrain.
I have looked at Brigade models SF scenery and they produce some great pieces that look like what i am after. Unfortunately they are described as 6mm or 15mm. Does anyone have experience with either Planetfall or brigade models to let me know how the two would look together? do I need to look elsewhere or do I choose between 6mm or 15mm?
Thanks for the help guys and girls.

Anything made for Dropzone Commander will be in the same scale, 10mm. In fact, you can probably find a lot of old neo-art deco buildings.

Spartan Games is also advertising a terrain box for Planetfall that will be available when the game launches. It'll contain a number of buildings and small scenic resin pieces, with the largest piece measuring 193mm x 163mm x 50mm.

Not actually a fan of spartans terrain box for it. The objectives look nice, but the terrain just doesn't sell me.

I am the same. I felt the terrain was suitable for a starter game but i wanted something more durable for the long term. I had a look at Brigade models resin scenery but it listed as 15mm or 6mm and I am hoping it fits in with the scale of the infantry in Spartan.
Brigade have some lovely looking VTOL pads and buildings that would look great on a table.
I have the same problem with deadzone. I like the snap together terrain and i have made some great barricades and towers but a board with just their stuff looks a little too blocky so i added some MDF platforms and walkways with some of the accessories from mantic thrown in for cohesion. As I only play at home with my sons it does not matter if it does not match the grids exactly.
Once I have the Planetfall box I will make a gamble and order 1 small set from each scale and see. Got a while yet. In the mean time I can be putting a basic game board together inbetween painting more deadzone. Next project is swapping out the hated restic rebels for sexy looking Infinity models!

@Mooks don't forget about the DZC stuff, and a lot of things in 15mm can have duel purpose in 10, the helipads for instance becoming veritable airfields on their own.

Take a look at N scale railroad scenery.

The thread below is packed with info about 10mm terrain:

All of my suggestions are contained therein.
I've been playing 10mm sci-fi for a few years now and despite not being a common scale for sci-fi wargaming, there's plenty available that is compatible.

Thanks for all of the great links guys.
I also emailed Brigade models. Had a great reply back. Apparently I am not the only one who has asked this question. They are looking at doing 10mm soon!
