This is my first 1000pt grey knight list. I fight mostly orks (semi blob with truks with rocket boys and battle wagons and stuff).

I came up with this list and I think it would work pretty well but I have no idea. Any criticism, swap out, support, or ideas in general would be very helpful.

HQ

2x Librarians w/ storm bolter

Troops

2x Strike Squad with two incinerators

2x razorbacks with twin linked lascannons

1x Nemesis Dreadknight with heavy incinerator and sword

That comes out to 1000pts exactly.

The idea is that the Strike Squads would combat group and the librarians would go with the groups left out of the razorbacks. The dreaknight would go with with the razorbacks and take out the heavy tanks and burn as much as he can with the incinerator.

What do you guys think?

I'd be interested in a list with interceptors as well seeing as board control is important now I think.

...and that leaves 30 points to mess around with. Basically attach Libby to Purifiers, if you roll GoI his boyz are gonna be hurtin because cleansing flame T1 will hurt with 2 flame templates that have soulblaze.

Otherwise toss them in the rhino and both trans. truck on forwards.

Meanwhile Dreadknights go around murdering EVERYTHING with T1 shunt.

The two dreadknights sound absolutely brutal.

May I ask why you would go with the two dreadknights over another squad of GKSS?

I know grey knights get a lot of hate for the cheese they can bring. Do you think this would be a bit overkill for a friendly game?

If these questions seem stupid its cause I know little to nothing about this game haha.

If it's a friendly game bring the models you LIKE.

Its about having fun first! And in a friendly game, yes two Dreadknights at a 1000 points is overkill just bring one.

EDIT: As for why bring another Dreadknight over a GKSS, its because they give you more firepower, on a more mobile platform that is also tougher, for a similar point cost.

Wait cant the lib not ride in the rhino as it says that it cant transport models with the bulk, very bulky rule? Which a lib in terminator armor would have.

It also says (unless the GK codex is different) cannot transport units in TDA if i recall correct
