So as per the BRB an attacking model with a WS2 hits a target unit with WS4 on a 5+.

All of the other Attackers WS vs targets WS work off of a formula, but 2 attacking 4 does not.

Spoiler:
(The formula is such: "if the target’s WS is lower than the attacker’s, he is hit on 3+; if the target’s WS is equal or up to twice as high as the attacker’s, he is hit on 4+; and if it is more than twice as high, he is hit on 5+". rules quote taken from just after the To Hit chart).

Does anyone know if this was a deliberate change or a typo? It was not like that in 6th.

P.S. who else did not notice this change?

The explanation on the to hit table still says that the mechanic is more the double WS is 5+ to hit. I'm pretty sure this is just a typo

It's a misprint. The table in the reference section at the back of the book shows 4+, and the text of the rules is "if it is more than twice as high, he is hit on 5+"

I see nothing wrong with the sentence. Double of 2 is 4 you hit on 4's, more than double like say 2 ws vs 5 ws you hit on 5's.
2 + 2 =4 double , +1 for a 5 is more than double. Since weapon skill always deals in whole numbers just remember the rule of 3. If your ws is 3 lower than that which your attacking you need 5's. Tada

The chart has a typo.

They never said the enjoyment of the rules had to be from playing the game. Some people like Easter Egg hunts and the OP found a nice one. Gee Dubs, making Easter fun!

Indeed, indeed....
I think I have spent more time enjoying the discussions concerning broken Rules then I have playing the entire game.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.
