So my buddy and i have decided that our FoW armies have been gathering too much dust lately and should see the light of day. He plays Soviets and rather than field my normal Germans, I decided to use my Finns that haven't seen use in much too long a time. Part of the problem is that they aren't painted to the extent of my Germans but I figure getting them out on the table might change that. We play at 1850 pts. Let me know what you think of this.

Finnish Jaakari - 1850 Grey wolf

HQ CiC, 2iC + 2 panzerschreks
Full Jaakari - rifle, recon, lauri Torni
Full Jaakari - rifle, pfaust
Full Jaakari - rifle, pfaust
Jaakari Mortar - 81 MM, observer
Jaakari Heavy At - 2 Pak 40s
Jaakari Heavy At - 2 Pak 40s
Panssarii - 4 T-28
Panssarii - 3 T-34/85
Armored Car - 3 BA-10
AA - 2 FlaK 38s

That is 10 drops of FV with the infantry being 9 stands strong, double recon, as good of Finnish AT as you can get. We both suffer from having entirely too many models, so I am just as likely to see double full tankovy as I am to see katys and a horde of infantry. The T-28s are more a nod to the possibiility of seeing infantry. If need be they will remain in reserve. If they are on the table, I see them sitting in cover behind my infantry lending support in defensive fire and ready to drive in a counter attack if one presents itself. The problem is getting them into assault where 5 mg dice and top armor 2 can be useful.

For my mind you are missing two really good options.

The first are pioneers, I'd consider them over the third infantry platoon - they are CV I think but as they are all AT4 in assault it should scare the tanks a bit more.

Secondly you could do with some artillery, it would give you an offensive option when defending which is missing in the list I feel

I'll consider those next time I take the list for a spin.

Ended up that the T-28s performed beautifully. They pushed out and rolled up a large infantry unit, and then pushed on and took out a large soviet mortar park before finally being put down by some lend lease shermans.

It was the other side of the line that failed. Had some Spetznaz infiltrate a unit of T-34/85s. Managed to pop and bail one first turn, only to miss with all my 34/85s and PaK 40s second turn. An epicly awful round of dice rolling.
