GottaCon 2015 Gaming Convention Feb 27th - Mar 1st, 2015

After a sixth successful year, GottaCon 2015 is set to take place on February 27th to March 1st, 2015 at the Victoria Conference Centre in Victoria, BC. The 2014 show saw an incredible increase in attendance which exceeded 3,000 individual attendees and attendance for the 2015 show is expected to continue to grow.

GottaCon is a three-day broad spectrum gaming convention that is held annually in February in Victoria, British Columbia. GottaCon celebrates the science fiction and fantasy genres, covers many related hobbies and offers a one stop experience for the fans and enthusiasts of those genres.

Submit a Panel or Workshop for GottaCon 2015

While panels are returning, we are tweaking a few things, including a focus on DIY workshops. While some panels may consist of some of your old favourites, for 2015 we really want to focus on interactive workshops (Kickstarter, games creation, world creation, DIY cosplay, model painting, etc.) and authors/writing. We are also seeking a diverse group of guests. Once again we are accepting your ideas for panels and workshops.

Do you usually have a strong attendance of US players? A few buddies of mine were considering giving the Canadian scene a go again. They used to love going to Canada back when GW still had GTs there. I think the last time I went was to a Toronto GT back in like 2004 or 2005

Sorry for the delay in posting a reply, thehod, It's been a crazy past few weeks for me. We usually have a few US players from WA come up each year, though it's not a strong presence, most players come more locally from BC. I hope you decide to give coming north a chance again. I'd love to see you come to tet your mettle agianst us! It should be a good time. Here in BC, aside from GottaCon, there is also the WetCoast tournament in Vancouver.

This year, not only have we increased our content but we also have a diverse group of guests and panels. From Cosplay workshops to issues surrounding diversity in gaming spaces, from RPG How-To’s to special D&D 5e workshops presented by the folks at Wizards, Standard Action and LoadingReadyRun, a night of burlesque and a night of musical comedy presented by Geekenders, and many special events, we have it all!
