looking for some ideas on how to build out a list at 1500 or 1850 that's fully canoptek...

we've got

wraiths
destroyer lords (converted out of tomb spiders for the canoptek feel)
acanthrites
tomb sentinels
tomb spiders
scarabs

what do you think a decent mix would look like? I don't care if it's unbound. if i wanted to make it bound I could take a couple of min squad immortals or something.

maybe something like this?

6 wraiths + D-Lord
6 Wraiths + D-Lord
9 Acanthrites
2 big units of scarabs
5 tomb spiders
tomb sentinel
tomb sentinel?

trying to make this work as best as it can. I'd love to hear from anyone more familiar with necrons or some of these forgeworld units as well. I'll typically run a more conventional list but all of the forgeworld stuff is available in decent third party casts at cheap prices so I'd love to try this as a fun hobby army.

It'd have to be unbound, because there's no canoptek troop choice

Rule #1 is Look Cool.
Rule #2 is Do Cool S*%* Even If It's Tactically Inadvisable
Winning is something like Rule #17.
-The Shrike

Overkill is officially defined by the Commissariat and the Munitorium as: "The minimum amount of force that is to be brought to bear against the enemies of the Emperor."

oh yea... forgot about the pylons. those will add a lot to the list and still fit the theme.

I'm cool with unbound. i never run super spammy/douchey lists when i go unbound. it's usually because i either don't want any troops or there's no HQ that works for me.

if I HAD to make it bound, i could say that a couple squads had just woken up. i could even play wussy with them to represent them being sluggish.

but yea, the pylons could really help
