I'm a big fan of the Bones line; mostly for RPG usage (Iron Kingdoms and Pathfinder are the big uses) but I've enjoyed them in other ways as well; modeling one or two of my steampunk pieces into Arcanists for Warmahordes.

Have you ever found a really good use for a piece from the Bones line? Maybe a head was jut perfect as gas mask on someone else, or maybe there's a mini that just looks completely in place amongst your Imperial Guard? That sort of thing.

I've used Bones minis pretty extensively in 40k. The humans for IG, the monsters for Daemons, the scenery for objectives, it's just great stuff. Pics!

Yeah I found a good use for their Giant Spider.

The detailing takes paint/washes nicely. I certainly plan on buying some other models in the line, since they're so damn cheap.

That Chaos piece is absolutely fantastic. I didn't realize how amenable many of them were to Warhammer usage! I think the art style is actually not that far off from a lot of the 40k and WFB minis.

Thanks man, it was the last conversion I did before purchasing a pin vise & other tools. It was an exercise in twisted, perverse, just play wrong love!

The scale of the mini's is roughly 28 mm, so with a bit of creativity you can certainly use them in conversions.
