I am wondering which Imperial knight is currently the best right now. The recently released Magaera seems really strong but I would like your thoughts.

Each of them have their use really, depends on what you need to shore up your army.

The army I usually use (Angels Revenant) plays medium to close range so I am not sure which one would be the most beneficial to me.

Well lets see:

Do you need an All rounder? Choose a Paladin

Do you need some anti-tank? Knights Errant

Do you need a close/mid range fighter? Lancer

Do you need anti-horde? Castigator

Do you need some durable range/salvo weaponry? Choose the Maegara.

Is there rules for the Castigator? I couldnt find it them in Forgeworld

Important to note, that the paladin and errant are the only knights that when not taken alone are not lords of war. this is of minimal importance, although in the long term it might become more important as more and more armies get important characters made lords of war
