So, this is built on dark vengeance with as few changes as possible. I can get oblits for cheap from a friend and extra cultists off ebay.

Why not give lord a bike n join the 1%?

Honestly, I'd give the lord a powerfist instead of the power weapon and drop the plasma pistol. Also consider some marks or a sigil of corruption for him.

Don't mix autoguns cultists with autopistol cultists. Autoguns are rapid fire, meaning you can't fire them if you want to charge. It's best to specialize each squad rather than put a little of everything in every squad. You think your making the squad kinda good at everything but really you're just making it unable to do any job well, because it's trying to do too many jobs at once.

The Lord is from DV, so he can't really be mounted or power-fisted easily.

Then dont use the lord from the dv set. He is just a glamorous Aspiring Champion like the rest of the Chosen.

Do not diversify your cultist. Infact do not invest in them.

Ally imp guard, they are 10x better for the same cost. Imp guard can take special and hvy wpn. They get orders. They get demo and melta bomvs.

The DV set is already bought, and imp guard would take out the only troops options in the list.

But if I were to buy a new HQ, what should I take?

One of the chosen is outfitted with a powerfist. He even has a magnificent horn to show that he is the true leader.

But honestly, kit bashing is the best way to build a chaos lord.

Use that chosen n put a makeshift bike next to him. He doesnt have to be modeled as riding it to count.
