Hi everyone

One thing we keep finding is how really cool or nice people are in sharing what they know about in terms of how to paint models - or how to glue them.

We recently had another really positive experience with our Vallejo paints. We can tell that there are lots of pretty strong and valid opinions about which paint works best. What is amazing is that even the people who make the paint seem to be pretty nice and open.

We sent a note to the people at Vallejo Paint (guess that's more properly Acrylicos Vallejo) to share how happy we were that we could make BRIGHT PINK with the "FLUO MAGENTA". Didn't figure they'd write back - just seemed that writing would be a nice thing to do.

Amazing - not only did they write back - also asked for our address and followed up with a package of catalogs - shipped clear from Spain!! We don't get too many packages from Spain - and that was pretty fun.

We were already thinking to use their fluorescent blue for the PInk Ork's Trukk (for accents ??) - so we're moving forward with that.

Here are pictures of our catalog package

Thanks for sharing that!!

I own the almost the entire Model and Game Air line, and about half of the Model and Game Color line (lots of colors are either identical or indistinguishable for most purposes). Other than their extra opaque series, which I have never found useful, I think Vallejo makes wonderful paints for scale miniatures (though I still use GW paints more).

When I paint certain things like highlights, I hate using the dropper bottles, because unused Vallejo paints bleed all over the place overnight on a wet palette. So, I've actually started decanting some of my favorite Vallejo paints into washed out GW empties . VMC Silver is the perfect example; I use it for silver studs because it is brighter than Runefang.

I've found that Vallejo is genuinely interested in making their product as good as possible and not only spend a fair amount of time not only responding to customers - but also tracking websites regarding their products.

Any concern I have ever had that I addressed to them, was followed up with an actual person and an effort to fix any problems.

Hah very nice ; ) I love Vallejo fluoro magenta, painting my dreadball void sirens using it to help make them pop. VMA has been my favourite paint line, and VGA will be arriving this week for me - my only problem with VMA wa the lack of vibrant colours which is now solved. I do use bits and pieces from other ranges ofc, just go to Vallejo first.

They definitely seem like a good company, they expand their ranges but also maintain old ones for a long time, not leaving you in the lurch. *cough* GW *cough*

Vallejo rocks. I never had any problems with them but knowing that there is someone in the end of the line available to fix any problems is nice

Got milk?

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

PM me if you are interested in Commission work.
