Hello, I do not yet own the codex, and the delivery will always be expensive, so ordering some minis with the codex will save money. So can you tell me, which units from codex space wolves are good in most or all army lists? Thank you

Grey Hunters will be your basic troops of choice...all around good space marines.

Long Fangs have been popular for a long time. Give them missle launchers and rain death from across the board.

Drop Pods, depending on your play style. Nothing like dropping melta gun death first turn to ruin your opponents back end.

Haven't played enough 7th with Wolves to form an opinion of the named HQs.

On moon miranda.

Spamming thunderwolf cav seems to be the order of the day with the new book.

You'll always need basic troops so can never go wrong with those.

Everything is largely up to taste though, SW's don't have too much that's absolute crap.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Not necessarily true. You can take champions of fenris FOC.

Required:
HQ
2 Elites

Example:
Harald
Wolf Lord on TWC with Relics
Wolf Lord on TWC with Relics
Iron Priest on TWC with 2 Cyberwolves
Iron Priest on TWC with 2 Cyberwolves
Iron Priest on TWC with 2 Cyberwolves
Max TWC unit
Max TWC unit
Max TWC unit

3 crazy big units of TWC.

Yeah twc is the strongest unit now they screwed over gh and long-range and all bloodclaws still utterly suck.

I'm not shure did you see my earlier thread, but I planning on using these as a renegade chapter that uses chaos, so a box of juggernauts with some space wolves troops should probably be a good start.

Thanks for your answers

PS what do you think would be the best HQ for a 1000-1500 point army that wishes to have customizability?

Ulrik and rune priests are the go to HQs. I'm not sure why everyone thinks TWC are so amazing when they've done so poorly in tournaments even with the new book. Building your army around 40 point models plus upgrades that have to get into close combat to do anything isn't the best strategy in 7th. GH in pods are the way to go now. 2 meltas and WG with combi melta.

Mostly because TWC are fun and flashy. Yes, pods are better, but TWC are cooler.

I just buy the venerable Dreadnought, i can said that the shield and axe build its so good and make a very good synergi with the thunderwolve calvary, the past saturday i played againts an astra militarum army, so you picture the list, 4 lemanruss, one punisher Pask, two wyrms and two squads of veterans, dont forget 2 sactioned psykers, then i make a list where i have a unit of thunderwolves with one wolfpriest on bike and the WGBL, the firts turn was IG, he crippled my thunderwolves, but on my turn my dread fall on a drop pod with locator beacon in front of his lemanruss, he soak up all the shoost, my opponet use all his army, literally, all his army againts my dread and only succes to strip 2 hp, that gives the precious time for my calvary to cross safely the map and wreck the thanks, then my other drop pod with grey hunters (2 meltas and one wolfguard combimelta) to destroy the survivor tanks and pask.
On resume, in my opinion the venerable (shield and axe) is a solid option to make psychological pressure, take down vehicles and MC (he wreck one tank that survived the melta shoots) the thunderwolf calvary is brutal on the CC and grey hunters with drop pods are so good.
About Hq, runepriest on bikes are the way, casting biomancy on the thunderwolves is so good
