I really enjoyed the Gaunt's ghosts series ages ago and I'm looking into setting up a guard army and I thought that the Roane Deepers from "Necropolis" could be an interesting, rarely done regiment. From what little I get from the book as well as Dan Abnett's blog posts I'm envisioning a WWI/WWII ANZAC looking regiment heavy on infantry. While I've found a few good sources for bits to mod, I'm drawing a blank at finding either heads with Brodie Helmets or the helmets themselves that I can attach to an existing head. I'm definitely planning on mixing some slouch hats into to units but the book was pretty specific that the Deepers generally wore helmets with netting. Does anybody know where I can pick some brodie helmets/heads up or an easy way to mod them?

As is quite often the case, Victoria Miniatures offers a very suitable option. Check 'em out.

Homebrew Imperial Guard: 1222nd Etrurian Lancers (Winged); Special Air-Assault Brigade (SAAB)
Homebrew Chaos: The Black Suns; A Medrengard Militia (think Iron Warriors-centric Blood Pact/Sons of Sek)

I had intended to use the "Van Diemen's World Devils" as a base for this army, especially because of the slouch hats, but Victoria doesn't seem to have heads with the WWI/WWII brodie or doughboy helmets that I think would be more appropriate. I've found some that are separate from head but there isn't much info on them http://www.theassaultgroup.co.uk/index.php?prod=529

Brodie heads from Vic, only six in a pack, though...

And I somehow missed those when looking through the heads, I feel like a moron. Thanks for helping out!
