Okay i'm not sure if this has been covered anywhere, I haven't seen it in the FAQ so enlighten me if you can.

If a member of a Necron Royal Court is added to a squad of Warriors or Immortals and somehow either the entire squad minus him is dead or if he dies with the squad and comes back alive due to ever living would he still be considered a troop choice and thus have Objective Secured?

I would like to know this as I have a tournament coming up soon which is involving the BOA format so this may come up in a game.

If the model was added to the unit before the game, as is the case here, then it counts as being a member of the unit on the FoC level, ie it is a troop selection. So it would gain the command benefits the unit it is part of would gain before deployment as normal, which for a CAD would be objective secured.

so yes.

This has been debated before in regards to Ghost Arks. Some people say yes they are part of the unit just like a warrior and some say no they are an added model. You will need to check with your opponent or the TO.

ADD causes my posts to ramble from time to time. Please bear with me.

You're not a Time Lord stick with linear time.

The rule is pretty clear though. Crypteks are not IC's and thus do not count as a seperate unit once they have been attached to the warrior unit.

There are plenty of other models that work the same way so there is no reason to think otherwise (meks, warlocks, Hive tyrants).

Once split off from the royal court, the cryptek is now part of the unit he is attached to and should always be considered that way.
